W8EE with RemoteFX vGPU on WS2K8 R2 SP1?

I am unable to provide a synthetic 3D adapter (vGPU) to my Windows 8 EE VM guest on WS2K8R2 SP1.

The symptoms I see are exactly as described by Waigel at the bottom of this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserver8gen/thread/a91aa30f-1eaa-4392-a08e-5b26c190c655/.

Has anyone found a solution?

For information:

(a) My host's graphics adapter holds an Nvidia GeForce GTX G560 Ti

(b) The driver has been downloaded from Nvidia and is the latest (306.97)

(c) dxdiag states that the driver model follows WDDM 1.1
