I am trying to redirect a scanner to a Server 2012 RDVH Personal Desktop with no luck.
The client is Win7ThinPC w/SP1 and RDP 8 update. I changed the GPO Computer Config/Policies/Admin Templates/Windows Components/Remote Desktop Services/Remote Desktop Connection Client/RemoteFX USB Device Redirection/Allow RDP redirection .... to Enabled for Admins and Users. I did the gpupdate /force and bounced the machine.
On the server side, I added Set-RDVirtualDesktopCollectionConfiguration –CollectionName YourCollectionName –CustomRdpProperty "usbdevicestoredirect:s:*"
I see the option in the RDP client to Allow "Other supported RemoteFX USB Devices" and checked it. There are 2 devices checked (A multifunction printer and a usb scanner)
However, the devices are not available in the rdp session to the personal desktop. I do not see any usb devices in the desktop.
