Hello!
We have a Remote Desktop farm with 4 hosts. The farm name is simply a DNS record setup to round robin to the 4 host IP's.
The hosts are all Windows 2008 R2 servers.
When we attempt to RDP to the farm name from any Windows 7 client or Windows 2008 server client it eventually times out (after about 3-4 minutes)during "Securing remote connection." Error is "This computer can't connect to the remote computer.
The connection was lost due to a network error. Try connecting again." When we attempt to RDP to the farm name with any Windows XP or Windows 2003 server client it immediatly connects without issue.
Worstations tested are on the same domain and subnet of each other.
From the Windows 7/2008 clients we have no problem RDPing to the host names directly, only the farm name causes the issue.
I have seen it connect twice on one of the Windows 7 clients out of about 30 attempts. The delay will always be minutes long and 2nd attempt fails.
Looking for any grand ideas of where to look into on this and what could be the difference between how XP/2003 connect vs 7/2008.
Thanks!
