In case of connection with Windows 7 according to the RDP 7 protocol to Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 with the self-signed certificate on RDP-Tcp there is a warning of absence of trust to a root certificate authority. But in case of installation of new RDP client with support protocol 8 this warning isn't shown.
Thus that is important - if to be connected to the server not by name, and to the IP address, the window of warning appears. It turns out, what the name in the certificate is checked only?
Why?
