I have a completely virtualized environment running on VMware 5.1. I have a 2008 R2 server that had been working fine until a few weeks ago. Now, when users try to perform a specific function within a program, the program states it has encountered an error and needs to close. The error points to VisualBasic, but I'm not sure that is the issue. When I log into this same server using VMware Console and the same user ID, no errors are encountered.
I have tried looking at all the permissions I can think of and GPO, and find nothing out of the ordinary. In addition, none of the settings should have changed when this error started happening. I have looked through these forums and others, and find similar issues, but none quite the same.
I have also had the program's tech support on the phone several times and tried all their advice with no solutions yet.
One other item I forgot...The program works fine the first time you try the operation. It is upon the second and subsequent tries that it fails.
