I have a Windows 2003 TS Licensing Server running which supports our Windows 2003 Citrix Farm.
My original plan was to replace this with a Windows 2008 R2 RDS Licensing Server and install the Windows 2003 TS CALS.
I can't do this now due to internal politics. So my proposal is to keep the Windows 2003 TS Licensing Server online and supporting our Windows 2003 Citrix Farm only
I will now install a new Windows 2008 R2 RDS Licensing Server which will only have the 2008 R2 RDS CAL's installed and configure the new Windows 2008 R2 RDS Servers to use this Licensing Server via Group Policy.
My question is: Can I run both a Windows 2003 TS Licensing Server and Windows 2008 R2 Licensing Server side by side in my infrastructure without problems?
I will eventually decommision my 2003 TS Licensing server and transfer the CAL pack to my 2008 R2 RDS Licensing server.
