One of the biggest reasons people in my organization use Remote Desktop Services when outside of the office is to access information that they don't have stored locally on their laptop. [We do not have a good VPN solution at the moment. Our
RDS server is running Windows Server 2008 R2.] So one of the things that they often need to do is copy something (either a text string or an entire document) from the RDS server onto their local machine. My problem is that I do not know how to
allow them to copy from the RDS server and paste to their local machine without it also enabling them to copy from their local machine and paste to the RDS server. I would really prefer that they not be able to past something from their local machine
to our server because not everyone who uses RD is using a company-issued computer. It's a security thing in my mind. So is there a way to allow copy and paste FROM the RDS server but not TO the RDS server?
The only two places I can see to change clipboard access is in the Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration and in the RemoteApp Deployment Settings. Changing the one in Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration allows for copying and pasting to go both
ways. Changing the one in RemoteApp Deployment Settings doesn't seem to change anything.
Thanks
