I've got folks disconnecting from their sessions and I haven't found a way to force a logoff instead, so that their roaming profiles can synchronize back to the PDC. User education is a nice fantasy, but it just never seems to work out in the real world.
We're using roaming profiles for data backup reasons, as well as to enable them to use any workstation in the building (along with logging on remotely of course).
The closest I've been able to come is to write a small utility that polls qwinsta on a regular basis and when it discovers a disconnected session copies the relevant files/folders back to the PDC and then ends the session.
I'd like to save my customer the expense of having me do this, so if there's a better way I'd sure like to know about it.
Any ideas?
