Hi Everyone,
I have gone through the posts and found very interesting. I am having following issue with RDS on WS2012. I have a virtualized server on WS2012 with Hyper-V with RDS installed on it. I am connecting Thin CLients with Win7 embedded into it. I am getting following message while connecting a thin Client. I am using a self signed certificate on RD Gateway server. All thin clients are on LAN within the premises in fact within one single room.
'The Certificate is not trusted and hence cannot connect.' If I import this certificate in store it into trusted root certificate store, even then it cannot connect, it says 'there is an issue with Server address and subject line and hence cannot connect.'
I have following questions :
1. Since all thin clients are within premises, I do not want to use any certificates at all. It this option available? I want thin clients to connect directly to RD gateway server. On the thin clients RDP connection program there is an option for Bypassing RD Gateway server, but it does not connect when it is ticked.
2. As mentioned in other posts, I have problem on certificate validity as well. The self signed certificates valid for either 6 months or 1 year. Is it possible to have a self signed certificates which valid for longer say 5 years or more?
