We have a third party vendor that hosts a terminal server remote application. They sent the few people that need access to it a remote app rdp. When initially setup, we had checked the save password option so that they would login it directly without having to pull up the 8 random character password each time. For some reason, it sometimes remembers the password and sometimes does not. I've tried to correlate the issue with anything I could- recent reboot, other applications running, time of day, whether it's been running idle in the background for too long, etc., and I can't find anything that's the same every time. And again, sometimes it remembers the password, and sometimes it does not. I've asked the third party vendor if there's anything on there end that would be causing this and they said no, which makes sense as it's a local setting. I tried to replicate the issue by running the remote app on my own PC in a virtual machine that's nearly identical to theirs (XP SP3, etc.), and I never have a problem. The one thing that I can't replicate is actually logging into the remote app (not the rdp login, but the login for the application once the remote app is connected). Right now this is a testing phase and only 2 people are using it right now, and they're both having problems. However, it will be widely used once we go live with it. Is there any suggestions at all from the community? I'm near my wits end with this one, and I know it's got to be something small I'm overlooking.
Thank you!
