I have a Windows 2008 server R2 Enterprise to which I'm connecting through Remote Desktop connection. Today I needed to get some data from log file that is 5 GB in size so I connected to the remote machine and used a software called HJ Split to split it into chunks as I didn't need it all. As I was doing it the screen on the remote machine went black and I got disconnected from it. If I connect to it now, after log in I can see the splitter software showing the alert saying that splitting is done but it disconnects immediately after that so I can't even click on OK button on that alert.
Please note that I don't have physical access to the remote machine so I can't go and install something on it, although I think that simple restart of it will fix the issue.
Anyone has any suggestions on how to solve it?
