Here is the environment in which the error is occurring. We have a five server RDS farm (Windows Server 2008 R2). #1Server is the session broker, load balancer, license manager, etc. #2-#4Servers are the production servers. #5Server is our test server. The servers are connected to our company's domain. The thin clients (They run WES7 and XPE.) are not connected to the domain. The thin clients have a generic local desktop with one icon. This icon opens up a window to let them sign onto the RDS farm via their domain credentials.
Yesterday a user was able to logon to the RDS farm. Today, she gets the "The Group Policy Client service failed the logon. Access Denied" error. I applied Nina Liu's answer from this thread:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/9bc23129-568a-4c7d-9f94-419307a0d544/group-policy-client-service-failed-the-logon-access-denied-windows-7-ultimateserver-2008-r2. My user's permissions were not correct. I followed Nina's solution step-by-step. When I had the user login after this, they did not receive the Group Policy error. It looked like she was going to get in; however, when the login got to the loading desktop portion, it logged her out.
Please help.
