Problem Creating a Collection in a VDI test environment

Hello, 

I’m following this guide http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831541.aspx to do a standard windows 2012 VDI lab. My environment consists of 1 physical server named “Host1.domain.local” which is the RD Virtualization host, this server is also the hyper-v server that hosts the virtual machines of the domain controller, RD Connection broker , RD web access & the Client Template. I’ve walked through every step of the guide successfully but It seems that I can’t create a collection. The wizard refuses to create one and gives me this error message “ Server Host1.domain.local either does not have a virtual switch configured or none of the configured virtual switches have an IP address assigned”.
Although there IS a virtual switch configured and have an IP assigned…. 
Is this because the RD Virtualization host cannot be a hyper-v host nesting the Domain controller as well?  Or is it some other thing causing this please advise…
