We are trying to enable USB passthrough for Windows 8 phones on a Windows 2008R2 Remote desktop farm. I can browse the phone locally on the client, and the "Windows Phone" icon shows up successfully within the remote desktop session but I can't browse the phones mass storage like I can on the client.
The phone in particular is a Nokia Lumina 520, and I see see it showing up in device manager on the server when I plug it in. I can also see the same drivers being used as with Windows 7.
Anyone had any luck doing this? Our company has issued Windows 8 phones as standard and they need a way of accessing the local storage on them within the RDP session.
