I was looking for some help on this particular subject. We are trying to print from a Remote Desktop Session to our Terminal Server but it is not working. The server in question is a Windows Server 2008 R2 with a Terminal Services licence. The printer we are trying to use is the HP Laserjet M1217nfw MFP and it is only connected to the computer itself, it is not networked, we're trying to print to it using a Remote Desktop session with all of the local resources shared. The printer driver on both the server and the local computer are the same (HP Laserjet M1217nfw MFP). When the driver has been uninstalled the printer disappears from the directory and when we the driver is reinstalled it appears back in the directory. We have shared all local resources (printers, clipboard, smart cards, ports, drives and Other supported Plug and Play (PnP) devices). We have also uninstalled and reinstalled the printer and the driver and this has also not enabled us to print.
I'd also like to add that the printer driver is the latest update so I am unsure as to how to resolve this issue. All help is appreciated. Thanks.
