Unable to change “default server” in Terminal Services Manager on cloned machine

Hello,

I have a Windows 2008 R2 Virtual server that was cloned using VMware.

For example the Source server is called “Server1” and the new clone is “Server2”.

When I launch Terminal Services Manager on the new machine the default server points to “Server1”.

I have tried updating and even deleting the String Values in the following registry key but nothing seems to work. No matter what I try the old server name is listed as the “default server” and I am not able to delete it from the GUI.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\TSAdmin\Default

Help much appreciated in figuring out where this value is stored and coming from and how to change it.
