I am currently running the below setup
Server 2012 Datacenter edition host with hyper-v role
hyper-v VM w/ 2012 Essentials with only the predefined roles installed
hyper-v VM w/ 2012 Datacenter acting as RD session host and connection broker
I have intel HD 3000 GFX and a Nvidia 620gt card in the system
16gb ram
core I3 3220t CPU.
I am trying to get some old games and other DirectX based apps to run via RemoteApp on a surface RT tablet. So far I cant make this work as RDP relies on the client to render DirectX and the surface RT does not support the version of DirectX required for the applications in question. I was wondering if there is some way make this work or to force the session host to render and send them to the client machine. I would like to avoid running the session host and or connection broker from the host 2012 OS if possible. This is in a lab environment and having snapshots to restore from as opposed to restoring the whole OS is a huge plus.
