I'm having a issue I haven't seen yet posted on these forums. I have a single user who cannot access her home directory files through our terminal server. She can open her mapped drive, see all the files, but when she goes to open anything she gets the dreaded "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer" error. I thought that hiding drive C: and hiding the "Run" menu on the terminal server may have been the issue, so I removed those GPOs, forced an update and a reboot, but still no luck. I can say that the GPOs change did take effect successfully. I am unable to recreate the problem with any of my test logins as well. This happens when she tries to access any Microsoft product, and possibly other programs as well.
I've removed and re-added all her permissions for her home directory files as well, but this was unsuccessful in solving the issue.
