RDS in a one-way trust scenario...how long will this work?

Here is our setup:

RDS server (2008 R2) in Domain B (which is also the license server), User accounts in Domain A.

Domain B trusts the user accounts in domain A and all users log in with their domain A accounts to the RDS server in domain B.

We currently have enough per-user RDS CALs installed for the users connecting to the RDS server but of course since we do not have a two-way trust set up, the CALs are not being assigned. This was just caught recently and our grace period ends within the next week or two. I know that 2008 R2 does not enforce per-user RDS CALs, but will the users still be able to open a session on the RDS session when the RDS grace period expires? The reason I ask is because I am not sure I can get this fixed before the grace period passes so I want to know ahead of time what to expect if I cannot get this corrected.

Also, what can I do to make this work so that per-user RDS CALs are being assigned? Would creating a separate RDS licensing in server A and have the RDS server in Domain B fulfill this requirement? I cannot create a two-way trust between the domains (which would be the easiest solution). Is the only other option to have everything in Domain A?

This is the error in the System event log:

Remote Desktop Session Host server was unable to retrieve users Licensing information from AD. Error 0x8007052e

Thanks in advance!
