Remote Desktop Session does not respond to Inputs from a Touchscreen

Hey folks

Last week we migrated Applications at a costumers network from a Windows Server 2003 to a Windows Server 2008 R2 with the Remote Desktop Service Role installed. Now we have 4 sites connected over a VPN who open up a Remote Desktop on the new Server and use an Application. The session is opened in full screen mode. The Clients do not have a mouse or a keyboard, these are all elo Touch devices, who are running Windows 7 32bit. Sometimes it happens, that the application on the Server close and the user wants to open up the application again. But the remote desktop session does not react. If we connect on to that client with and use the mouse to open up the application, the session is usable again. Does anyone has an idea why this is happening? Focus Problems?

Server and Client do use RDP 7.1.

Thanks for your advice!
