Session Host server not getting licenses from License server

I have setup 2 new 2012 VM servers. One is an RD server with the RD Web Access, Session Host, and Connection Broker roles. On the other server, which was already set up as a DC, I installed the RD Gateway and License Server roles.

Everything looks good on the DC with no errors or warnings, Licensing Diagnoser is all green.

On the RDSH server, things are good except it is not talking to the License server. I've gone into Edit Deployment Properties many times and the licensing mode is set to Per User since that's what the licenses are on the license server. I add the hostname of the license server and it adds without error. But when I run the Licensing Diagnoser on the RDSH server, it keeps telling me that the licensing mode is not configured and there are no licenses assigned.

I don't get any errors when I add the license server's name in the Deployment Properties so something must be right, but licensing just isn't working. Besides the error in the Licensing Diagnoser, when I logon to the RDSH server, I get the popup from the system tray telling me I have only so many days left in the grace period.

On the RDSH server, I have both servers listed in the Deployment Servers pane of the Server Manager in the RD Overview.

Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?

Jonathan
