We currently have 2 terminal servers setup which allow our users to use RDP over the network to get their Microsoft Office applications from their thin clients.
I received a request from one of the managers who is constantly moving from his office to other offices in the building, and often times wants to pull up his RDP session. This works just fine, however, we have a session limit of 1 hour setup in the Group Policies. Often times he may be idle for longer than an hour, and open windows he has with information he is attempting to show others is lost (closed) when it disconnects him. Is there a way to put in an exception so his RDP session can remain active say 2 or 3 hours before it disconnects? Or would I have to do this for everyone?
Followup - If my only option is to do it for everyone, are there potential problems with say 10 sessions idle but still open when I have 20-30 RDP sessions going on a signal terminal server?
