We have a problem with 2 2008 R2 Terminal servers experiencing disconnections. I have checked all around the web but can't find a solution, so hopfully someone here can help.
Users are experiencing disconnections from 2 terminal servers. In the event log I get the following 2 errors.
EVENT ID: 50 The RDP protocol component X.224 detected an error in the protocol stream and has disconnected the client.
EVENT ID: 50 The RDP protocol component "DATA ENCRYPTION" detected an error in the protocol stream and has disconnected the client.
The setup we have is as follows
1 VMWARE ESXi 4.1 HOST
1 SBS 2011 Server
2 2008 R2 Remote desktop servers (with SP1 installed)
3 Sites accessing the servers over VPNs to data centre (good internet connections)
All the users will be disconnected and have to log back in at random times. Each server doesn't do this at the same time.
I have seen solutions for Server 2003 and there is a microsoft fix available, but this does not apply for 2008.
