I'm trying to implement VDI using Win7 as the client and Server 2012 as the server. HyperV installed on server. Win7 VM built, joined to domain and sysprepped. It doesn't matter if I do the Standard or Quick Deploy. In the end when I connect to https://ITvdi/RDWeb and then launch the session, it connects to the server rather than a virtual machine.
Everything I found so far relates to Server 2008.... I'm using 2012 only.
Steps for creating collection
CompanyVDIPool, Pooled, Automatically create and manage, select the VM, provide unattended settings, eastern time & OU=VDI Computers,OU=Comp Computers,DC=contosol, change user group from domain users to vdiusers, no changes to allocation, change path for store on rd virtualization host (d:\vms\pool) leave roll back checked, UPD to\\ITvdi\UPD, Create
If I want to RDP to the server to administer it I would run "mstsc /v:ITvdi". I need some way for the end users to either run mstsc themselves or from the RDWeb and have them connect to a virtual machine in the pool (CompanyVDIPool).
