RDWeb via iframe versus website

I've created a dashboard utilizing <iframe> to display the web pages of 4 sites I maintain, one of which being an RDWeb page. I recently updated my RDWeb certificate. Since the certificate change the frame on the dashboard page for the RDWeb page no longer functions. However, if I go directly to the RDWeb page it works fine.

I believe it has something to do with the iframe. is there a setting in RDWeb config or the iframe to allow extra time for the certificate to be accepted? or should I be looking somewhere else.

It's about".V6" .

Problem with Windows Server 2019 RDS License

We want to deploy few new rds servers on server 2019 but it seems that the per user licensing is not working correctly if in a workgroup.

Evertime when a user logs in it gets the following message:

'There is a problem with your Remote Desktop license, and your session will be disconnected in 60 minutes, Contact your system administrator to to fix this problem'

In the gpo the license server is specified and the "per user" mode is selected.

Your credentials did not work .Remote Desktop Connection

l need help here with Remote Desktop Connection .l configured window 10 PC to remotely accessed but the problem the login are rejected .When try to connect l am getting window security Message saying "Your credentials did not work . The credential that were used to connect to xxxxx.gotdns.com did not work . please enter new credentials " .

l used the following the details to connect to remote computer

Username : <ComputerName>\<Username>
Password : Password for above UserName

The Name of the remote computer ,Username , password are valid but they can't allow me to login .The machine had no password so l added a new one for remoter Access .Please help guys ,

Windows server 2016 RDS issue

Hello,

I have recently installed RDS licensing n workgroup environment and after 180 days it is causing an issue like i have to delete the registry entry "Grace period" and restart the systems.

Is there any other way to fix this issue so that i don't need to do remove the registry entry every 180 days and restart systems.

Dot Matrix and dos printing from remote connection

Good day,

I have an issue where i am unable to print from a Dot Matrix printer while's on remote connection.Printer redirection works 100% and i have no issues with printing from the remote session.Only i need DOS print to work using the Dot Matrix printer.

Can not start an app as regular user when Remote Desktop Services role is added to a Windows 2016 Server

Hi,

I have a problem with an app on our RDS Server. If i am logged on to the server as an ordinary user the app won't start, if I add Admin rights to the user it starts. If I remove Remote Desktop Services from the server and RDP as a ordinary user the app starts.

Can anyone point me in any direction to solve this?

Startmenu does randomly not work RDS 2016

We have got a RDS 2016 environment. The startmenu is customized and the xml file is shared. Sometime the user experience problems to open the startmenu when they are logged in. The startmenu does nog appear. The only fix is to rightclick en choose to signout. Then user logs in, on same terminal server, and then it works again.

Server 2016 msg problem.

Hello.

I have very strange problem with Server 2016 RDS Remote App.
Previously i used server 2012R2. And when i send message for user (msg command), they can easy click on OK button and close this message.

But a completely different situation with the server 2016. Users receive a message, but cannot press OK buttom. This message on background and block all windows. They need to press alt+tab combination and select remote app. And only after that they can press Ok buttom and unblock all other windows.

All clients have windows 10 1803

Any ideas how to fix this problem?

RDS 2016: Connect to a remote PC - Passthrough Credentials RDWeb --> RD Gateway

Hi,

Is there any way - within a RDS 2016 environment, to enable pass-through credentials from RD Web to RD Gateway, so as to avoid 3 levels of authentication when using the "Connect to a remote PC" option?

The  3 levels of authentication are:

RD Web --> RD Gateway (specified by DefaultTSGateway within IIS) --> Server Login

I know there's a way of combining the RD Gateway/Server Login credentials, as per the following thread:

but, as we have multiple domains (i.e. the RD Gateway credentials may not be the same as the Server Login credentials), what I'd really like to do is to be able to pass-through the credentials from RD Web --> RD Gateway, and still receive credentials for the server login. Is this possible?

Server 2008 r2 to 2012 r2 Upgrade

Hello all, I just, today, upgraded one of our Dell Server 2008 r2's to Server 2012 r2 and rebooted for updates and final install. And I did all of this over Remote Desktop. Once all of the updates were done, I was unable to log back in via Remote Desktop. So I physically walked next door and logged in just fine. It shows that RD is checked but I am still unable to access the server from my desktop in my office. I have admin rights and I was found almost immediately when I added my self to the server. The server sees all of the other connected groups locally and otherwise. The Subnet mask and IP's are static and correct.

When, from my desktop, I click on connect to the server it asks me for my credentials, it remembers my log-on ID, but then gives me the error; "An authentication error has occurred. The function requested is no supported."

Also, I have no power options to restart the machine. I went into gpedit.msc and put the rule to disabled to give myself access to the restart and power off options but it does not take. ie: I still have to shut down/restart the server via a cmd line.

The upgrade was pretty quick and I had no extraneous errors or anything. Any ideas I can try?

Re install RDS CALS in another RDS Server

Can I re-install the RDS CALS licenses used in existing RDS Server, and re-install it to a new RDS Server, without doing a migration.

1. Will it work simultaneously ?

2. If so, can I shutdown the new RDS Server in the future and still use the existing RDS Server?

Event 7011 Timeout Error Service Control Manager (LsaSrv and CryptSvc) on RDS

Dear,

Since one month we have an issue with our RDS (Windows server 2008 R2 )

3 in the same farms, 1 in another farm.

We have many Event 7011

 

Event Type: Error

Event Source:Service Control Manager

Event Category: None

Event ID: 7011

Description: Timeout (60000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the CryptSvc service.

When user want connect to RDS Serveur we have these event and Windows session take 5/10 minutes to open and block all other user already connect.

All server are update and no antivirus.

 

I found everywhere and there are many similar issues but long since and Microsoft is not able to give a true answer.

HP Universal Print Driver update issues on Windows 2K8R2 (PCL5 and 6)

Hi all,

At random moments, the Driver will ask for update on the RD environment. At this point, all HP printers that use this driver will be rendered unavailable until we delete one HP printer from the server and readd them from the print server.

After that, all HP printers will become available again.

At the point of failure, there are no logged events in the eventviewers of the print server, nor the RD session hosts. Neither is there a trent that triggers these events.

Does anyone have any ideas?

RD Licensing Diagnoser Infomation -- License server not avaible

Hi there,

I would like to know how to change the server name (1921.168.1.192) to (192.168.1.192) because the RD Licensing Diagnoser Infomation is showing  License server not avaible 

I have change directly on windows registry hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\policies\microsoft\windows nt\terminal server, however, when I restart the windows server the wrong Ip came back.

What is best way to fix this issue?

We are planning to upgrade our 2016 RDS to 2019.

We would like to only allow the HTML5 version outside (from external) - any reason to install the RDGateway?

KB4471320 remote desktop breaks

I was wondering if anyone else has this issue. Once this patch is applied we can no longer logon to our Terminal server.  we have to uninstall this patch to get it working again. Typically trying to logon is like the following:

It tries to connect after entering in a username/passwd, it will say  estimating quality connection and then we get an error that this computer can’t connect to the remote computer.
