RDS 2012 - Using non-standard RDP port on RDHS (30500 instead of 3389)?

Hi

We had RDS in W2K8 R2 setup, using a non-standard RDP port (using 30500 instead of 3389). This was working fine when we configured a RD RAP to use port 30500 for a specific RemoteApp. We prefer to use any port but 3389 for RDP to better secure our environment.

Trying to do this on W2012 isn't as easy it seems. I can't find a place where I can setup the port to anything other than the default it seems of 3389. When I setup my server back to port 3389 for RDP, the apps open normally from the RDWA server, but once I switch to port RDP 30500 on the RDHS server, nothing works anymore, the app fails to open saying it can't reach the app server. I have tried this using both a Quick Setup (all on the same server) and Standard setup (using a 4 server farm), with the same result.

I've been crawling the web for a couple of days now with no luck so far. Anyone has an idea for this?

Thank you very much

Philippe Carignan
